We are a full-service, owner-operated, licensed moving company serving the Bay Area for over 30 years now, CAL-T-189726. In the non-profit, Bay Area Consumer Checkbook Magazine's last seven surveys of the Bay Area populace regarding moving companies, dating back to the 1990s we've been consistently highly recommended. We maintain an A+ recommendation with the Better Business Bureau, and have always maintained a zero complaint history there.

We mostly move ordinary people, home and apartment dwellers, but have also moved the home of some rock stars, and Nobel Laureates, such as the Secretary of Energy, Steven Chu, Luis Alvarez's home, The furniture of President Martin Van Buren, a graduate school, "The Wright Institute", and "Innovative Interfaces", one of the main companies to computerize the world's libraries.

But most days we're out getting our aerobic work-outs moving the average Berkeley, Lake Merritt, San Francisco, San Rafael, and Walnut Creek homeowners and apartment dwellers. We normally stay within a 100 mile radius of the Bay Area.
Services
To remember that the only place to ever want to be is here with you in any condition whatsoever.
To have gratitude to the dear people of the Greater San Francisco Bay Area who have kept our dream alive by having us move them, their families, and friends, time and time again over the years.
To get our mind around your desires from a moving company, so that we may make best use of your time with us.
When I was fourteen, my dad encouraged me to learn the value of the work ethic.
I was eager to learn.
He brought me to his warehouse in Brooklyn.
There in the phantom clouds of the 1970s the intrinsic value of hard work became embedded as I spent every school vacation and free day loading trucks, packing and unpacking.
The music of the rusty conveyor belts clanking and clanging, unoiled in the cold Brooklyn mornings, the foreman cracking the whip, the constant hustle required by us all when at work, the delicious hero sandwiches at Sal's Deli, the lovely Haitian, Jamaican, and Polish immigrants weaned me from being the nerdy, studious, suburban boy into becoming a young man who learned that happiness was inextricably linked to putting my best foot forward; doing the best I could.
Yes, they are always in the truck, plenty of them, free for use on moving day?
We do NOT provide them before the move.
You (or one of our men-your choice) can take the five or ten minutes to load them with the hanging clothing when the move is happening.
We normally find it best first to have us load the beds and clear out some of the clutter from the bedrooms before setting up the wardrobes so that there is a comfortable and safe amount of floor space to function in.
At the new dwelling, the clothing goes off into the new closets (by you or us-your choice), and we then take back the empty wardrobe boxes.
Moving is on the list of life's most stressful events.
At the same time it opens a wonderful window into the amount of attachment we have to the cumulative sense of security we've built up around our shelter.
Pulling all of these visible and invisible roots up with the finality of a move invites a fascinating torrent of emotions, similar to death; the ultimate abandonment.
A paradigm shift in perception can open a profound glimpse into seeing more clearly the suddenly fading reference points that we've held dear until moving day to buttress our definition of who we think we are.
Stu Miller is just as fabulous as other reviewers claim.
Within the last year, he and his talented crew have moved my family once and my 95 year old grandmother twice.
He's moved her from one assisted living community to another and then into a nursing home and storage locker.
He did so with tremendous sensitivity and grace (these were emotionally fraught moves for someone of her age).
After watching his crew prepare our house for a move, I realized that we'd never really had professional movers before Stu, only people who claimed to be professionals.
