I'm happy to say that after a 5 year sabbatical, my wife and I are returning to manage Island, our company established in 1998. Many thanks to my mother for keeping the wheels turning in our absence. We opened this company with a singular philosophy. Our mission at Island is to accommodate your moving needs with personal and professional integrity and exceed your expectations.

We provide reliable, friendly, and efficient service for your individual moving needs. We move homes, offices, apartments, pianos and safes. We offer loading, unloading, and packing service and supplies. We will disassemble and reassemble any furniture necessary. In addition to expertly handling your furniture, all moves include furniture blanket and stretch wrap protection.

Our crews are full time entrusted employees, several of which have been with us since opening. They have been professionally trained for safe secure handling of your furniture and possessions. Whether you are moving your home, office or just a piano, my guys can do it and do it right.
Services
Job time starts when we arrive at your home or office and ends when we finish work at your destination.
Job hours are billed in 15 minute increments.
The standard 1 hour travel time is added to all local moves.
Please call for long distant quotes.
Some pianos, safes, or exceptional items are subject to minimal charges.
We do not have extra charges for stairs, long carries, disassembly and assembly of furniture and wrap service.
While our focus is on Mount Pleasant, Charleston and the Barrier Islands, our certificate authorizes us and we are glad to move goods between points and places in Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester, Georgetown, and Horry counties, SC, to all places in SC.
Insurance: We carry required cargo insurance for your goods and liability insurance for coverage on the vehicle carrying your goods.
In addition to the state required insurances, we carry a general liability policy should additional coverage be needed.
Be sure to make appropriate arrangements for pets during moving time - for their sake and possible risk factors.
Assign a different color dot/label sticker for each room - this saves time for you and for the movers.
Put things that you don't want packed or moved in a special location and clearly mark them with "do not move".
Please remember that it takes a nice customer - as well as nice movers - to insure a successful move.
