Marathon Moving

This is my third time using Marathon Moving Co. I highly recommend them. From Steve the moving consultant coming out to look at the pack and move to provide a quote, to Lillian and Sheila in the office handling the administrative/billing work, to the packing and moving crew…everything was outstanding, seamless, and professional. This move was one that I had to coordinate for a family member who was not local. They packed an entire apartment that was borderline hoarders/pack rat and occupied for 20 years. I would say it was on the difficult end of the spectrum. But they got it done! The quote was spot on too. And when I forgot to give a deposit to lock in the date, Steve was super accommodating by getting me back on their calendar within a week and even set up for a pack day on a holiday! The movers also moved a good amount of furniture that wasn’t being moved to the curb for trash pick up. The bonus part was this was a small side street in South Boston and they even handled obtaining and posting the no parking moving permit. I don’t plan on moving anywhere, anytime soon…but if I did or a family member did, I would not hesitate to schedule them. I wouldn’t even bother shopping around and getting another quote. I trust them with my belongings and know the job will get done within the quote.

I have used Marathon Moving on several occasions and couldn't be more pleased with the service from both a coordination , staffing and overall perspective. I also stored two containers of furnishings there for 2 years and everything worked out great. Thank you to the office team, and to the movers themselves. I recommend Marathon highly!

From the initial virtual inventory meeting, to loading, to unloading. Marathon moving staff were professional, communicative, polite, efficient and cost-effective. I would highly recommend them for any type of move, but especially cross country.

Talk about quality service, Marathon is it. We moved during rainy, windy and cold day. The crew worked like troopers and got the move done in 6 hours without a scratch.

What a great group. Marathon moved my family from Quincy to Maine on 1/29/2020, 170 miles. Not only were the guys very kind, they were complete and total professionals. Our belongings were handled safely and moved efficiently. Marathon made what could have been a huge stress, a piece of cake. I wish I could recall the names of the gentlemen that helped us; we are grateful to you all!

They came and packed us up on a Friday and moved us on a Saturday. I've never had someone pack for me before and it was amazing- we got to live like normal until Friday rather than spending weeks packing and living among boxes. Pleasant, professional, efficient- cannot say enough good things. Best moving experience I've ever had, and it's the only move I've had to make pregnant and with a toddler.

The service was excellent and Steve lead a team of great workers. They checked with me on everything to confirm what I wanted, they were committed to doing a great job, and they were a friendly bunch. Amazingly responsive and professional from start to finish and in every aspect of the move, and storage of my stuff. The people in the office and the moving professionals were all helpful, courteous and responsive to my questions and the changes made to my various moves from apartment to storage area to new home. Would DEFINITELY use again (hopefully not for a while as I moved 4 times this past year), and recommend Marathon to all my friends and family!

We recently moved and can't say enough great things about our Marathon Moving experience. The guys we had both times were so professional, on-time and worked their butts off! They were super fast and went out of their way to make things smooth and stress-free for us. The move leader, Raldy, for both moves was great and I will be highly recommending to all of my friends and family who need to move. We were worried about the costs but the quote was right on and even came in under because the guys worked so fast! Can't beat that!

These guys were great! We moved from a 3BR house in Framingham to a 2BR in West Roxbury during an April Fool's Day snow/sleet/rain storm. The movers were prompt, careful, and hard working, while still being friendly and relaxed. They went above and beyond helping us use our new space as efficiently as possible. I would recommend them to anyone.

Professional, on time, easy to work with (office staff as well as drivers).
Marathon moved us 1.5 yrs ago out of our house. Some items went into storage,
some items were moved into the apartment. Last week they moved us out of the apartment
and out of storage into our house. Each time they moved us it was a pleasure, painless and
easy. Nothing was a problem, they handled all our boxes, furniture (some that were
heavy pieces) carefully with no damage to the house or the boxes.

I never thought I'd write a positive review for a moving company. My wife and I have moved half a dozen times over the recent years, and have consistently been disappointed in our movers. Marathon Movers, on the other hand, met all of our needs and expectations for our recent move out of Boston. The crew was on time, packed and delivered our belongings very carefully, and was very pleasant to deal with. Highly recommend
